Go Fund Me campaign to return body of Leslie Mwakio to Kenya for burial

OTTAWA – A fundraising campaign has been launched in an effort to send the body of Leslie Mwakio home to Kenya.
Mwakio, 17, was shot and killed while inside an SUV at Bayswater Avenue and Laurel Street in Hintonburg on Tuesday, December 6.
Family friend Andrew MacDonald tells the Metro, the family is desperate to find out how much it would cost to send his body home for burial.
MacDonald has launched a Go Fund Me campaign with a goal of $10,000.
As of Monday morning, close to $1,000 had been raised.
