Local construction company buys County Fair Mall in Smiths Falls

SMITHS FALLS, Ont. – The County Fair Mall in Smiths Falls has a new owner.

Guy Saumure and Sons Construction Ltd., a company with a history of renovating and revitalizing local buildings, has purchased the mall from Rio Can.

Rio Can had earlier announced it would be closing the mall by the end of February and existing tenants had to be out by the end of January.

The new owners say plans and contracts with current tenants are still being worked out.
