Man arrested after armed robbery in the east end

OTTAWA — Police have arrested a man after an armed robbery in the east end.

Police were called to the 1000 block of St. Laurent Boulevard near Donald Street around 6:15p.m., Friday.

The alleged suspect – a 31-year-old man – was spotted nearby and arrested.

Police said a weapon they believe was used in the robbery was found nearby.

He’s being held pending further investigation.
