Ottawa under special weather statement calling for rain

OTTAWA – Keep your rain boots and umbrella handy.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Ottawa calling for rain to spread from west to east Tuesday night, before tapering off Wednesday.
The statement says, while rainfall totals aren’t expected to be overly significant, recent rains and snowmelt has left the ground with a reduced ability to absorb more rain.
