SPCA asking for help after cat found in Ottawa dumpster

OTTAWA– The SPCA is looking for information after a cat was found inside a carrier case and buried in a dumpster in Ottawa’s west end.
A passerby heard the cat meowing near an apartment building on Carling Avenue between Grenon Avenue and Moore Avenue on the morning of March 14.
The female long-haired tabby was wearing a frayed red fabric collar with four small bells when she was found in a dog carrier under a pile of boxes.
The SPCA said the cat is about 15-years-old, was underweight, dehydrated and suffering from diabetes.
Anyone with information about the cat is asked to contact the SPCA at 310-SPCA (7722).
