Flooding: contacts, phone numbers and links to more information

OTTAWA — As residents in Ottawa, eastern Ontario and western Quebec deal with incessant rain and unprecedented flooding, here are some sources for more information for people affected by the floods and those who want to help.
If your property is at risk, call 311. If it is an emergency situation, call 911.

Volunteers are asked to register online or in-person at one of three locations:
- Cumberland: Fire vehicle located at the corner of Morin Road and Phillip Road
- Constance Bay: Paramedic vehicle located at 262 Len Purcell Drive
- Britannia: Paramedic vehicle located at the corner of Jamieson Street and Kehoe Street
Sand and empty bags are available at several locations. (Residents are asked to bring their own shovels.) Click here for a list and map of available locations.
The city says there is no need for a state of emergency as city services are able to handle the flood response.
Flood victims who require assistance to leave their homes should dial 311.
Residents who want to volunteer to help with flooding are asked to call 311 first, to find out when and where they are most-needed.
Residents who want to donate clothing, food or other goods are asked to contact organizations like Saint Vincent de Paul and local food banks. Business looking to donate are asked to call the Red Cross at 1-800-363-7305, ext. 3622980.

The City of Clarence-Rockland has a list of items and services available to flood victims, like volunteers, lodging for your pets, babysitting services, etc. Flood victims are asked to e-mail the city (click here).
Residents are asked to avoid the flood zone areas (especially the area of Voisine and County Road 17), for the safety of residents and volunteers.
Sandbags are being prepared in the parking lot of the TSC store in Rockland.
The City says while it understands residents’ fatigue, the situation does not require the services of the army.
