OTTAWA — Carlington residents will take to the streets, this afternoon, as part of the response to a fatal shooting in a housing complex, last week.
The rally, called Stand up for Caldwell, is being organized by the area’s councillor, Riley Brockington.
The rally and march comes after Hamzeh Serhan, 20, was shot and killed in the courtyard of an Ottawa Community Housing complex on Caldwell Avenue, September 20.
Residents will rally at the Carlington Recreation Centre at 4:30 p.m. today. They will march to a playground on Caldwell Avenue.
This is an updated story. An earlier version said the rally was being organized by the Carlington Community Association.
