Trio faces drugs, weapons charges

OTTAWA–Two men and one woman appeared in court Friday morning on charges related to a weeks-long drug investigation by the Ottawa Police Street Crime Unit.
Investigators were focusing on the movement of cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, and methamphetamine pills in the Capital.
On Thursday, officers executed search warrants at two Ottawa homes, and seized cocaine, crack, and a variety of pills, along with a loaded .357 Smith & Wesson Magnum handgun and over 100 rounds of ammunition.
Abdukerim Hussein, 22, Jordan Noel, 27, and Phoebe Abyesu, 26, face trafficking and weapons charges.
Hussein faces additional charges of possession of property obtained by crime, and breaching court conditions.
