OTTAWA — A hole has opened up on Rideau Street, in the same area where a large sinkhole appeared in the summer of 2016.
Rideau is closed from Sussex to Dalhousie while repairs are being done.
OC Transpo’s Twitter account says crews investigating a pothole that’s developed over a sewer.
Several OC Transpo buses that run along Rideau, past the Rideau Centre, are being detoured.
On its website, OC Transpo says routes 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, and 18 are being detoured until further notice.
Riders can catch their detoured buses at Mackenzie King Bridge for the time being.
STO routes that run along Rideau Street will also be detoured to Mackenzie King Bridge in that area.
