Damage being assessed after Carlington fire

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Fire Service is working to salvage as much of a four-unit, two-storey building as possible after a kitchen fire.
Firefighters were called to 1272 Trenton Ave. in Carlington, just after 12am Saturday.
Officials say the blaze was knocked down quickly.
No one was injured, including the tenant’s pets, which were able to be rescued.
There is no word on a damage estimate yet.
