OPP in Alexandria arrest nine after major drug bust

Nine people are in custody, and OPP have seized drugs, weapons and cash in a Friday morning operation in the village of Alexandria, east of Ottawa.

Around 6 a.m. on Friday morning, tactical and canine units joined members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry OPP to execute search warrants at several homes and one business in the village.

Seven men and two women were arrested.

Police seized drugs, weapons, and cash.
