Driver nabbed travelling 53 km/h over speed limit in Valley

A Deep River resident has been charged with stunt driving after travelling 53 km/h over the speed limit.
OPP caught the driver travelling 143 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township south of Pembroke.
It happened on Jan. 6 at approximately 6:10 p.m.
The driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused had their licence suspended for 30 days and their vehicle was towed and impounded for 14 days.
