Ashton Station Road silo fire deemed arson

The Ottawa Police Service's Arson Unit is investigating an abandoned silo fire, west of Ottawa. 

Just after 5 a.m. Monday, Ottawa Fire Services responded to the blaze on Ashton Station Road, just north of Highway 7.

The silo was completely engulfed when crews arrived at the scene, and the structure had partially collapsed. 

Flames were under control by 6:51 a.m.

No one was injured.
