Ottawa-area men arrested in Kingston crystal meth bust

Three men are facing drug-related charges after the Ottawa Police Service's Drug Unit, with assistance from the Kingston Police Service, uncovered nearly 4.5 lbs of crystal meth.

The trio was arrested the evening of Tuesday, October 9, in the Kingston area.

Items seized include:

– Crystal Meth
– Dilaudid
– Digital scale
– Over $5,000 in Canadian currency 

Jacques Trudel, 61, of Limoges, has been charged with:

– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts)
– Possession of proceeds by crime over $5,000

Christopher Francoeur, 43, of Limoges, has been charged with:

– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking 

Guy Trudel, 50, of Ottawa, has been charged with:

– Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
– Possession of proceeds of crime over $5000
– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle 

All three were scheduled to appear in an Ottawa courtroom, Wednesday.
