Pair of teenagers charged in two Stittsville-area robberies, including a stabbing

Two 17-year-olds are facing handfuls of charges in relation to robberies in Stittsville.

The first incident was in the area of Alon Street, where a victim was threatened by two youths with a knife, and had their backpack stolen.

Ottawa police say the same two suspects then headed to an address on Mistral Way and confronted a homeowner, looking for money. 

A struggle ensued at that scene and one victim was stabbed. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Today, a 17 year old male was charged with:

– Robbery with an offensive weapon
– Possess weapon for committing an offence
– Conspiracy to commit an offence
– Break and enter to commit
– Robbery with intent to steal
– Assault with a weapon (2 counts)
– Possession weapon for committing an offence

A second 17 year old male was charged with:

– Robbery with an offensive weapon
– Possess weapon for committing an offence
– Conspiracy to commit an offence
– Break and enter to commit
– Robbery with intent to steal
– Assault with a weapon (2 counts)

Both minors appeared in court Wednesday morning.
