Damage in Wellington West-area house fire pegged at $200,000
An Ottawa fire investigator is on the scene of a blaze at 93 Hamilton Avenue, which has displaced four people.
Firefighters responded to the incident at 12:03 p.m., Wednesday. Over the following 20 minutes, the fire escalated to a second alarm, but was brought under control just before 1 p.m.
The two-and-a-half storey home was destroyed, as damage is pegged at $200,000; $50,000 of that represents contents lost.

There have not been any reported injuries in the fire, and its cause has yet to be determined.
