Woman arrested in knifepoint robbery inside St. Laurent Mall

The Ottawa Police Service has arrested and charged a 27-year-old woman after a store inside the St. Laurent Mall was robbed at knifepoint.

A woman walked into a store on March 5, at around 8:10 p.m., stole some merchandise, and flashed a knife when she was confronted by a store employee.

No one was hurt, and the suspect took off running.

Amanda Thivierge was arrested early Sunday, April 7, and has been charged with:

  • Robbery with an offensive weapon
  • Breach of recognizance
  • Breach of probation 

She was in show cause court on Sunday.
