Ottawa police arrest pair of men wanted in string of robberies
The Ottawa Police Service has finally nabbed two suspects after multiple robberies around the city.
Recent incidents the pair were believed to be responsible for include a robbery at a store in a plaza on Bank Street, just north of Heron Road. Police say one of the accused threatened an employee with a box-cutter. That robbery happened late in May. Then, on June 9, one of the suspects walked into a store on Innes Road, just east of Mer Bleue Road in Orleans and stole $700 worth of merchandise. Police say, when confronted by an employee, the suspect flashed a weapon and then jumped into a white Chevrolet Silverado truck with a stolen plate and sped off.
Both suspects were arrested on June 12.

Dillion Mullin-Begin, 24, of Ottawa, was charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance
- Flight from peace officer
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Robbery with an offensive weapon
- Robbery with violence
- Robbery with threats of violence
- Theft under $5,000 (22 counts)
Patrick Lalonde, 23, of Ottawa, was charged with:
- Dangerous Operation of a conveyance
- Flight from peace officer
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Robbery with an offensive weapon
- Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
- Theft under $5000 (two counts)
They appeared at show-cause court on June 13.
