Laundry room fire in downtown apartment causes minimal damage

Ottawa Fire Services responded to a number of calls Tuesday morning about a possible fire at an apartment building in the Golden Triangle. 

Upon arrival at 15 Frank Street, crews confirmed a working fire in the basement laundry room. 

Firefighters quickly put out the dryer fire and removed the unit through a window. 

The building sustained minimal damage. No specific dollar amount was given for the damage. 

There were no injuries and a fire investigator will not be called in.
