By OttawaMatters Staff

A GoFundMe page has been launched to help David Grant's family with financial and educational expenses after he died in a house fire.

The OPP identified Grant, 44, of Clarence-Rockland and Jeffrey Laughren, 36, of St-Isidore as the victims of a house fire on County Road 9 on July 23, around 2 a.m.

The GoFundMe described David as a a devoted husband, proud father, beloved son, cherished brother and dear uncle. David has worked at the Royal canadian Mint as Production Supervisor since 2006.

The account was created by friends of the Grant family and is looking to raise $25,000.

All the money raised will go directly to David's wife, Jackie.

Another GoFundMe page has been set up to assist Laughren's daughter, Echo.
