Westboro bus crash investigation ‘substantially complete’

By Mike Vlasveld

The Ottawa Police Service's investigation into a deadly bus crash at Westboro Station has reached substantial completion.

OPS officials confirmed Friday that the next step includes consulting with the Crown Attorney's Office to determine if any charges will be laid.

Three people were killed when an OC Transpo double-decker bus smashed into part of the Westboro Station building which hangs over its pedestrian platform on January 11.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada and the OPS have been working together to determine what exactly caused the incident.

There is no timeline as to when the investigation is expected to wrap up.
