Health Canada is recalling a baby gate because of a chemical hazard.
Officials said the coating on the Bily Retractable Safety Gate contains too much barium – an alkaline earth metal.
Approximately 26,000 of the affected products with item number BG370018 or BG370200 were sold in Canada between June and December 2019.
The manufacturing date code label can be found at the bottom of the gate.
As of January 10, the company has received no reports of consumer incidents or injuries.
Consumers are advised to contact the manufacturer, Elfe Juvenile Products toll free at 1-800-667-8184 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time Monday to Friday.
