‘Proactive patrol’ leads to seizure of gun and drugs in Ottawa

A 26-year-old Laval man if facing a number of drug and weapon-related charges after a bust by Ottawa police.
Officers made a seizure of a gun and drugs on Saturday, January 18, thanks to what they're calling a 'proactive patrol.'
There's been no word on exactly where the seizures or arrest were made.
Christopher Cineus has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
- Possession of a schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of selling
- Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of a weapon
- Possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with
- Possession of a firearm without a license
- Possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon knowing no licence to possess it
- Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possession of a firearm prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
He appeared in court on Sunday January 19, and is scheduled to appear in court again on January 29, 2020.
