COVID-19 outbreaks at Cité Parkway and Montfort ICU, another death reported in Ottawa

Ottawa Public Health (OPH) is confirming new cases of COVID-19 at Cité Parkway Retirement Residence and the Montfort Hospital's intesive care unit, as the virus claims another local life.

The health agency says 33 new cases of the virus have been confirmed in Ottawa on Tuesday, and one more death. Those figures bring the overall totals to 619 confirmed positive cases and 12 dead.

The number of people in hospital with COVID-19 is 42 on Tuesday, while 16 are in intensive care.

Ottawa's number of cases resolved is also growing — its up to 217, which makes up 35 per cent of all confirmed local cases.

The new institutional outbreaks add to what has become a growing list of Ottawa long-term care homes, retirement residences and hospitals:

  • The Ottawa Hospital's (TOH) General Campus (5 West and BMT units)
  • The Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus (A Five, B Five, and AMA units)
  • Montfort Hospital (3C, Ancillary staff, ICU)
  • The Ottawa Carleton Association for Persons with Developmental Disabilities – Settlers Ridge (facility wide)
  • Maplewood Retiremenet Community (facility wide)
  • Garden Terrace (facility wide)
  • Promenade Retirement Residence (facility wide)
  • Villa Marconi (facility wide)
  • Manoir Marochel (facility wide)
  • Carlingview Manor (facility wide)
  • Madonna Care Community (facility wide)
  • Montfort Long-Term Care Centre (facility wide)
  • Waterford Retirement (facility wide)
  • Cité Parkway Retirement Residence (facility wide)
