Ottawa police investigating deadly shooting in Carlington

Ottawa police are investigating a shooting death in the city's west end. 

Officers were called to Mayview Avenue, near Merivale and Baseline roads at 3:50 a.m. Friday. 

Police and paramedics attended an apartment at 1440 Mayview Avenue where they located one man deceased. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext 5493.
