A second nail salon in Kingston has had a staff test positive for COVID-19.
Kingdom Nails on Fortune Crescent just off Gardiners Road posted the announcement on their Facebook Sunday.
“We are taking this matter very seriously and are working with KFLA Health Unit to ensure everyone’s safety,” the post reads. “Although we have passed all regulations and did not violate and safety measures, we feel that it is our responsibility to ensure that this will not happen again.”
The business added it will be closed until the public health department gives them the green light to reopen.
“We are very saddened and concerned for our employee, as well as any inconveniences we have caused to you,” it continued. “We are very sorry that this has happened and hope no one has been affected by this.”
According to the owners, the infected employee rents equipment and supplies from Binh’s Nails and Spa, which declared an outbreak earlier this week at its own nail salon.
