UPDATE: Ottawa police arson unit investigating fatal fire in Vanier

The Ottawa police arson unit is now investigating a fatal fire in Vanier.
Ottawa fire received multiple calls about smoke and flames coming from 359 McArthur Avenue, near St. Laurent Boulevard.
Crews arrived at the low rise apartment building Wednesday shortly before 10 p.m.
One person suffered cardiac arrest and needed to be resuscitated as they were taken to hospital.
Three other people, including one firefighter, were assessed on the scene. All three refused to be taken to hospital.
At least 20 residents, from twelve units, are displaced due to smoke damage, and the rest of the building is not habitable due to water shut off.
The Canadian Red Cross has been called in to help those who are displaced.
A fire investigator has been called to the scene to determine the cause.
