Lépine Apartments breaks ground on new complex in Kanata

The COVID-19 pandemic isn't stopping a local developer from starting its next big project.

Lépine Apartments is breaking ground on a new complex on Maritime Way in Kanata, Friday, October 23.

The builder says 'The Normand' is expected to bring “a maritime flare” to Kanata, and will feature 156 luxury rental apartments.

President of Lépine Apartments Francis Lépine says, in this time of uncertainty, he hopes the project will spark new excitement and positivity as the community and give new opportunities to the community and the workforce.

This is the second ground breaking for the company in 2020.  

Last Friday, October 15, it held a ceremony for 'The Lépine Lodge' in Renfrew. The lodge is bringing 300 apartments to that community.
