Renfrew man charged in serious assault case

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Renfrew has charged one person in a serious assault case that resulted in one man being treated in hospital from his injuries.
According to the OPP, on October 27 at about 4:20 p.m., officers and an ambulance responded to a call on Raglan Street South in Renfrew of a report that a person had fallen down the stairs at the location.
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries.
As a result of an investigation, on November 3, Logan O’Brien, 21, of Renfrew was arrested and charged with:
- Aggravated assault
- Obstructing a peace officer
- Failure to comply with a release order (two counts)
The accused has been remanded in custody until a scheduled appearance at a Pembroke courtroom on November 10.
The investigation is ongoing.

OPP say they’d particularly like to hear from anyone in the area of 196 Raglan Street who may have surveillance or other videos from 6 p.m. on October 26 to 5 p.m. on October 27.
