Streets closed as Gatineau police conduct ‘large’ operation in Hull

Gatineau police are asking drivers to avoid the area between Garneau and Leduc streets in Hull as police conduct a large deployment in the area.
Police say a perimeter has been put up, closing Eddy Street to all traffic between Charlevoix and Papineau streets, Gatineau police said in a news release Friday night.
Gatineau Street is also closed to all traffic.
Drivers and residents are advised to avoid the area so as not to interfere with the police operation.
No further information will be released at this time, Gatineau police say, however, an update will follow.
