Smiths Falls police warn of new Facebook scam
A new online scam is making its way through the Facebook messenger.
Smiths Falls police say a hacked account will send a message through Facebook, asking the recipient to open a YouTube video.
Police say this is how the scam transmits and then gets into other people’s accounts.

If the scam is coming from your account, police say to inform all your Facebook contacts and change your password.
