Orléans Express to offer bus service between Ottawa, Gatineau and Montreal

By Mike Vlasveld

Keolis Canada’s intercity transportation service, the Orléans Express, is adding a daily connection between Montreal, Gatineau and Ottawa.

Under a permit granted by the Commission des transports du Québec, the company expects to offer four departures per day along the new corridor, starting Thursday, July 8.

“We are developing mobility solutions that are adapted to travellers’ evolving mobility needs and to communities’ expectations,” explains Pierre-Paul Pharand, president and CEO of Keolis Canada. “We are therefore pleased to be able to offer intercity transportation services on this route which is currently not served by coach transport.”

The company hopes that this addition to its services will support the eventual reopening of other routes if the demand is proven to be there.

Keolis Canada reminds travellers that the intercity transportation industry is still subject to restrictions related to the pandemic, and its buses continue to respect a rule of no more than 24 passengers on board at one time.

Passengers can make reservations for their trip starting Monday, July 5.
