FOUND: Ottawa police search for missing man last seen in Barrhaven

UPDATE, Tuesday, November 9: The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) has discovered the body of Gordon Korac, 41, in a wooded area in Barrhaven.

The body was recovered on October 29.

The identity of the deceased was confirmed though forensic identification on November 4.

No foul play suspected.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is looking for help from the public in the search for a man who has been missing for a week.

Gordan Korac, 40, was last seen on Tuesday, October 19 at the The Hampton Inn and Suites at 125 Lusk Street in Barrhaven.

Police say there are concerns for his well-being and safety.

Korac is described as:

  • White
  • 5'6″ tall
  • Medium build
  • Shaved head

He was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, a black, puffy medium-length jacket, black jogging pants and blue shoes.

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Korac is asked to call the OPS at 613-236-1222. If you have information that could assist investigators, but do not know where he is currently, please contact the Missing Persons Unit 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
