Elementary school in Gloucester second school in Ottawa to close due to COVID-19 outbreak
An east end elementary school is the latest school to shut down in the city due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
Carson Grove Elementary School in Gloucester closed its doors Friday to students and staff, but is expected to open again on Monday, the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) said on its online COVID-19 dashboard.
The dashboard shows that three students at the school had tested positive for the virus.

Carson Grove is one of two schools in the city that are closed at the moment because of a COVID outbreak — the second is Chapel Hill Catholic School located in Orleans.
There are currently also 21 elementary schools that have reported COVID-19 outbreaks in Ottawa, as well as two secondary schools.
As of Friday, November 26, there are 86 active cases of COVID among kids ages zero to nine and 46 among kids and teens ages 10 to 19 years old, according to Ottawa Public Health.
