Walter Baker Centre runs out of rapid antigen test kits within first hour of opening

By Dani-Elle Dubé

In the last rapid antigen test kit pop-up of the week, the Walter Baker Centre has reported that it is now out of test kits to give out.

The centre in Barrhaven opened up at 7 a.m. on Friday, December 31, and tests were reportedly gone within the first hour after opening.

This comes the day after test kits at the pop-up centre at St. Laurent Shopping Centre also ran out of kits within the first hour of its opening.

In a tweet, the City says it has requested the province provide more kits for the capital to allow for the ongoing distribution.

There are no more pop-up centre scheduled for Ottawa as of yet, but residents are encouraged to check on the province’s website for updates.

The province updates its website with new locations every Friday.
