Cornwall Square mall using ticket system to hand out rapid antigen test kits
As Cornwall Square mall prepares to hand out rapid antigen COVID-19 testing kits in the coming days, the mall said it will be doing things a little differently.
Instead of allowing for long line-ups — which have been seen at Bayshore Shopping Centre and St. Laurent Shopping Centre, among other places — the mall will be using a controlled ticket system to distribute the 3,000 tests it will have on hand.
Cornwall Square will be hosting three pop-ups this week: on Thursday, January 13, Friday, January 14 and Saturday, January 15.

Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesday, January 11 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or until all 3,000 tickets have been handed out.
There is a limit of one ticket per household and proof of address must be shown.
“Cornwall Square management understands that rapid antigen test kits are in high demand and are currently extremely hard to obtain,” mall management said in a statement. “We request that members of the community practice patience, kindness and respect towards each other and the members of our staff during the distribution process.”

The kits are meant for Cornwall residents, as well as for residents of Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry, and Akwesasne.
The distribution locations will be located on the exterior north side of Cornwall Square. The exterior door will have clear and visible signage and people are urged to dress for the weather.
The mall is also asking residents not to mention the date or time of pickup listed on their tickets in order to avoid unnecessary lines and chaos at the time of distribution.
You must pick up your ticket in person and cannot pick up tickets for anyone other than yourself.
