Gas prices in Ottawa set to jump 7 cents overnight

By CityNews Ottawa

Ottawa wallets may have had a bit of a reprieve at the gas tank, but that is set to end with a looming spike in gas prices.

En-Pro projects an increase of seven cents a litre by the evening on Friday, March 18, and be in full swing for the weekend.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas prices for regular fuel found on Friday morning is at the Petro-Canada on 10th Line Road in Orleans at 155.6 cents.

This is followed closely by the Petro-Canada on Carbrooke Street in Kanata at 155.9 cents, and the Ultramar on Pleasant Park Road in Ottawa at 156.3 cents.

The volatility in pump prices has been blamed in part on Russian’s invasion of Ukraine.
