What’s open and closed over Easter long weekend in Ottawa

From transit services to malls and museums, here’s what’s open and closed over the Easter long weekend.

OC Transpo

• Bus service will operate on a Sunday schedule on Good Friday and on a reduced weekday schedule on Monday.
• O-Train service will operate on a Sunday schedule on Friday and a regular schedule on Monday.
• The Rideau Centre customer service centre will be closed.

Para Transpo

• The service will operate on a holiday service on Friday, Sunday and Monday.
• Regular bookings on Friday and Monday are automatically cancelled.
• However, regular bookings on Sunday will not be automatically cancelled.

Parking

– All City of Ottawa parking regulations and restrictions will apply.

Green bin, recycling and garbage collection

• No curbside green bin, recycling or garbage collection on Friday or Easter Monday.
• Multi-residential trash containers will be collected on the regular scheduled days. However, there will be no multi-residential recycling container and green bin collection on Friday.
• The City’s Trail Waste Facility will be open on Friday, Saturday and Monday.

Client Service Centres

• Service centres at City Hall, Ben Franklin Place, 580 Terry Fox Dr., 255 Centrum Blvd. and the Provincial Offences Court at 100 Constellation Dr. will e closed on Friday and Monday.
• 311 will be open for urgent issues.

Recreation and cultural services

• Pools, arenas and recreation and fitness centres are operating on modified schedules.
• Most art centres and museums are closed on Friday and Monday. Check the City website for possible reduced hours for Saturday and Sunday.

Other City services

• Childcare centres are closed.
• Ottawa Public Health’s Sexual Health Clinic and satellite clinics  are closed.
• Ottawa Public Library branches are closed Friday, Sunday and Monday.
• Dental clinics are closed.
• The Site program at 179 Clarence St. and the Site Mobile Van will be open from 5 to 11:30 p.m.
• The Ottawa Public Health information line and COVID information line will be closed.

COVID-19 testing centres

• Moodie COVID-19 Care and Testing Centre: closed Saturday through Monday.
• Orleans Health Hub COVID-19 Testing Centre: closed Friday through Monday.
• COVID-19 CHEO Assessment Centre and Kids Come First Care Clinic: open all weekend, varying hours.
• COVID-19 Assessment Centre at Brewer Park: closed Friday.
• North Grenville COVID-19 Assessment Centre: closed Saturday through Monday.
• East Ottawa Kids COVID Care Clinic: open all weekend, varying hours.
• The Ottawa Hospital Clinical Assessment Centre: closed Friday and Monday.

• Canada Science and Technology Museum: open Friday through Sunday.
• Canada Agriculture and Food Museum: open Friday through Sunday.
• Canada Aviation and Space Museum: open Friday through Sunday.
• Canadian Museum of Nature: open Friday through Monday.
• Canadian War Museum: open Friday through Sunday.
• Canadian Museum of History: open Friday through Sunday.
• National Gallery of Canada: closed on Friday. Open Saturday through Monday.

Shopping centres

• Place d’Orleans: closed Friday and Sunday, but is open on Saturday and Monday.
• Billings Bridge Shopping Centre: closed Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
• Bayshore Shopping Centre: closed Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
• Carlingwood Shopping Centre: closed Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
• St. Laurent Shopping Centre: closed Friday ad Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
• Rideau Centre: closed Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
• Tanger Outlets: closed on Friday and Sunday, but open on Saturday and Monday.
