Traffic stop leads to several charges made by Ottawa police officers

Ottawa police officers laid charges to three individuals after a traffic stop in the area of Clyde Avenue and Starwood Road on April 27. 
 
At approximately 11:20 p.m., a vehicle and its occupants were searched during an investigation, and officers found a loaded gun, over 36 grams of cocaine, OxyContin pills, 14 grams of magic mushrooms and Canadian currency. 
 
Yonis Omar, 21, of Ottawa was charged with a series of gun related criminal code, control drugs and substances act offences. Michael Moore, 22, of Ottawa, and Iman Hyderi, 20, also of Ottawa, were charged controlled drugs, substance act and possession of property obtained by crime offences. 
 
Moore and Hyderi were released and will appear in court at a later date, Omar is scheduled to appear in court today.
