OPP seek witnesses to Highway 60 crash

Provincial police officers are looking for witnesses to a collision on Highway 60 in the Township of South Algonquin that occurred on Sunday, May 1.
Just before 8 p.m., members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the South Algonquin Fire Department and Renfrew County Ambulance responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a passenger car on the highway near Dunnes Road.
The early part of the investigation shows the driver of the passenger vehicle, who was the lone occupant in the car, was travelling westbound on Highway 60 when they lost control and struck a rock cut.
The 37-year-old driver, who is a resident of Whitney, had to be rushed to hospital by ORNGE air ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
