Police investigating shooting in Alta Vista area
Ottawa police officers are investigating a daytime shooting in the Alta Vista area.
The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) said officers responded to reports of shots fired at 2:22 p.m. on Monday, July 18 in the area of Lamira Street and Rooney's Lane.
Shell casings were found at the location, and the OPS is asking people to avoid the area.

One person is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation continues.
