Tom Cochrane, Glass Tiger taking the stage at Kemptville festival

After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kemptville Music Festival is back in 2022. 

The festival, which runs from Wednesday, July 20 until Sunday, July 24, takes place on the grounds of the Kemptville College located at 830 Prescott Street. 

Nancy Peckford, the mayor of North Grenville, told The Sam Laprade Show on Tuesday, July 19 that the event has attracted over 25,000 people in the past.

“It's coming back with a bang,” said Peckford about the return of the festival this year. “We are absolutely thrilled to have it back.”

The lineup features legendary Canadian acts such as Tom Cochrane, Glass Tiger, Johnny Reid and a reunion between Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings. 

The festival kicks off on July 20 with tribute bands honouring The Tragically Hip and Bob Seger. 

“The festival attracts a range of ages,” added Peckford.
