The Ottawa Police Services (OPS)' Traffic Unit is out on the roads in full force this Thanksgiving weekend as part of their 'Operation Impact' campaign.
This initiative is among the most robust police enforcement and education initiatives to target dangerous drivers.
On Saturday, Oct. 8, officers cracked down on a couple of G2 drivers on Regional Road 174 for exceeding construction zone speed limits. One of the drivers, the unit said, was charged with careless driving for going 141 km/h in an 80 km/h construction zone.
