Pembroke resident charged with uttering threats

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with uttering threats at the scene of a fire.

On Nov. 6, after 7:30 p.m., officers received a call from the Pembroke Fire Department stating that they were being threatened while actively engaged in putting out a bush fire on MacKay Street in Pembroke. 

As a result, Amanda Meilleur, 29, from Pembroke was arrested and charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
