Police arrest one person in connection to Grenfell Crescent shooting

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Guns and Gangs Unit has charged one person in relation to a shooting that occurred earlier this month.

The incident took place on Nov. 12 in the 100 block Grenfell Crescent where a female victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Adonai Tekie, 23, of Ottawa, has been held and will be appearing in show cause court on Nov. 24. Tekie has been charged with multiple firearm offences, including discharging a firearm and aggravated assault.
