BGC Ottawa bringing holiday magic to local children

The Boys and Girls Club (BGC) of Ottawa has teamed up with a local business to bring some holiday magic to local children and youth.

BGC Ottawa has announced a holiday partnership with Unreserved! to offer families an evening with Santa Claus.

BGC Ottawa families are invited to spend the evening taking photos Santa at the Ron Kolbus Clubhouse at 2825 Dumaurier Avenue from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Families in attendance will also be able to take a free printed and digital copy of their photos home at the end of the night.

In a release, BGC Ottawa said Ryan O'Connor, the Co-CEO of Unreserved!, has long been a supporter of the club, first in the 1990s as a boxing coach for the club, and throughout the next 20 years as a volunteer.

“I've seen firsthand how these programs benefit the kids, their families, and our community,” O'Connor said. “I'm thrilled Santa was able to fit us into his busy schedule.”

BGC Ottawa is one of Ottawa's largest child and youth-serving charitable organizations, providing free critical programming and services to an average of 4,500 kids each year.
