Broadway Across Canada is kicking off its 2022-2023 season with Come From Away, the play inspired by a remarkable true Canadian story, at the National Arts Centre (NAC).
Come From Away, the multiple award-winning play is based on a community coming together to help 7,000 passengers after 38 planes were forced to land in Gander, Newfoundland following the events of September 11, 2001.
“I can't say enough about the show. It's a Canadian story written by two Canadian Tony Award winners,” said Shana Levin, vice-president of Broadway Across Canada on The Sam Laprade Show. “It gives you hope. It shows the goodness in mankind and makes you so proud to be Canadian.”
Premiering on Dec. 27, Come From Away will run daily at the NAC until January 8, 2023, with two shows on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Broadway Across Canada line-up at the NAC also includes Disney's Aladdin, Jagged Little Pill, based on the music of Alanis Morrisette, and Hadestown, winner of eight Tony awards.
Tickets are still available for all of the plays, but shows are selling out quickly. More information and tickets are available at Broadway Across Canada's website.
