O-Train Line 1 service adjustments for June and July

Riders of the O-Train will notice significant adjustments to Line 1 service throughout the summer months.
The adjustments will take place for planned maintenance as well as required O-Train East Extension integration activities.
“All rail systems require regular maintenance to support the long-term sustainability and reliability of the system,” a memo from the city’s Transit Service Department reads.
Maintenance activities include local track and other equipment replacements, server upgrades, seasonal cleaning and other work.
There is also continued testing and integration of the Stage 2 O-Train East Extension with Line 1.

“Every effort has been made to conduct Stage 2 integration work at the same time as other maintenance activities; however, additional service adjustments are required to complete testing activities,” the memo reads. “It is also anticipated that additional Stage 2 integration work will occur on the weekend of July 5 and July 26 that will affect Line 1 service.”
On June 6 after 9 p.m., there will be no service between uOttawa and Blair stations. One June 7 after 10 p.m., June 8 after 7 p.m. and June 12 after 10 p.m., there will be no service between Tunney’s Pasture and uOttawa stations. There will be no train service all day on June 14 and 15 and between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on June 22 and 29.
OC Transpo staff will be a key locations to support customers with their trips. Transit users are also encouraged to use the Travel Planner and Transit app.
