Bayshore residence under construction catches fire, no injuries

Firefighters extinguished a fire in a Bayshore single-family bungalow undergoing renovations on Jan. 8.
Around 2 p.m., Ottawa Fires Services received a call reporting smoke coming from the vents of the house on Firwood Crescent near Winfield Avenue.
A search of the building revealed it was unoccupied. The fire was declared under control half an hour later at 2:28 p.m. No injuries were reported at the time.
Investigators were dispatched to determine the cause of the fire.
