Gas prices going up on Jan. 12

Ottawa drivers are going to see a slight increase at the gas pumps.
EnPro International said the price of gas is going up two cents on Thursday, Jan. 12 to an average of $1.429 a litre at most Ottawa gas stations.

Back in June of 2022, the price at the pumps in Ottawa hit a record $2.159 a litre.
The Ontario government tabled legislation that would leave the tax break that cut gas prices by 5.7 cents a litre in place until the end of 2023. The cut first went into effect on July 1 and was originally due to expire on Dec. 31, 2022.
